Dr. Mark Miller was raised in Antioch, California. After finishing his undergraduate studies at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Dr. Miller attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he graduated with his DDS in 1976. Immediately following his graduation, he began practicing in his hometown of Antioch and has been providing exceptional dental care and healthy smiles to our community ever since.Dr. Miller is dedicated to continuing his dental education in order to consistently provide high-quality care to families in Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood, and the surrounding areas. Each month, he attends the Delta Study Club and, on average, he attends over 50 hours of continuing education classes every year. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and the Seattle Study Club.When not at the office, Dr. Miller enjoys a variety of hobbies. He loves visiting Monterey, California, working out at the gym, and spending time with his wife, Trudie, and their son, Robert. Trudie is the artist behind our office décor; you may see her at the office for a few hours every week making our space more beautiful. Robert is currently working towards his Master’s degree in education. Dr. Miller’s other favorite pastime is competitive golf. He plays in many golf tournaments and was named Senior Amateur Player of the Year.
Dr. Ryan Simarro was raised in Antioch, CA. After graduated from Deer Valley High School, he attended the University of California Santa Barbara, where he earned a degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. Following his graduation, Dr. Simarro attended dental school at Western University of Health Science in Pomona, CA, graduating with his DMD as part of the inaugural class. He immediately began practicing dentistry in his hometown of Antioch, partnering with Dr. Mark Miller. Dr. Simarro is a member of the California Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Contra Cosa Dental Society, and the Seattle Study Club.Almost all of Dr. Simarro’s family is involved in health care. His wife, Esther, is also a dentist, practicing in San Francisco. His brother Nathan is also pursuing a career in dentistry, and his two sisters, Meghan and Kaitlin, pursued their healthcare careers in nursing. Dr. Simarro’s mother, Karen, has been a nurse at Children’s Hospital in Oakland for over 35 years, and his father, John, is deeply involved in coaching community sports, including little league, CYO basketball, and soccer.When not at the office, Dr. Simarro enjoys a variety of hobbies. He loves bay area sports, and enjoys attending baseball games during the summer. He enjoys spending time with his family, who have been rooted in Antioch and Brentwood for over 50 years. Dr. Simarro also enjoys camping near Santa Cruz, and visiting Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, and Santa Barbara.
Dr. Nathan Simarro was raised in Antioch, CA. After graduating from Deer Valley High School, he attended the University of California Santa Barbara where he obtained his BS in zoology. While there he also received a minor degree in Spanish. He continued studying Spanish language and culture at the Universidad de Alcala de Henares in Madrid, Spain. Dr. Simarro trained professionally at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, where he received his DDS degree and completed Fundamentals of Implant Dentistry.Dr. Simarro has been enjoying his career since 2005. He is a proud member of the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Contra Costa County Dental Society. He has extensive experience in endodontics, implant dentistry, and treating pediatric patients. He remains active in international outreach programs through the USC School of Dentistry, with ongoing efforts in South America, Africa, and Asia. He was the recipient of the 2014 USC Mobile Clinic Aware and the J.A. Slaughter Memorial Scholarship Award.
He enjoys building lasting relationships with his patients, and has a passion for helping others and expressing his personality and talent through dentistry. In his time away from the office, he enjoys watching the Oakland A’s, Golden State Warriors, and Bay Area football. He also participates in an organized soccer league on the weekends and loves staying active. He and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Stella! It has been a dream come true to come back to his community where he grew up to practice what he loves with his twin brother, Ryan.

Mary has been with our practice for 5 years! She graduated at the top of her class in 2010 from Western Career College, Sacramento, with an Associate in Science in dental hygiene. She loves being part of our practice because everyone shares the same values and works together to provide the highest possible quality of care to our patients. She says, “It’s nice to be able to have confidence in the team you work with!” Mary gives her all every day at our office. She takes pride in performing great quality work and helping each individual patient.Mary and her husband love getting together with friends to attend Warriors, Raiders, and Giants games. She also enjoys playing with her two dogs.
Jennifer joined our practice as an RDA in 2003, and became an RDH after graduating with honors from Carrington College in 2013 with her degree in dental hygiene. She enjoys working in a community where she and her family grew up and working with a team that shares the same values. She likes seeing familiar faces and being able to build a strong rapport with them. Jennifer uses her 13 years of dental experience to provide her patients with the best care possible. She continues to advance her dental knowledge and makes an effort to get her patients involved and educated on their oral condition.Jennifer enjoys travel, shopping, exercising, movies, and spending time with her family.
Tammy joined our practice in 2015. She is a team player and helps our staff and patients in any way she can. She loves the camaraderie of our dental family.
Alissa has been with us for 2 ½ years. She graduated from high school in 2011 and went immediately into dental assisting school. She enjoys working in an environment where everyone is treated like family, and she shows up to work every day prepared to do her best.Alissa is one of four girls in her family. She loves to camp and be outdoors on the weekends.
Taj has worked with Dr. Miller for 15 years as a Registered Dental Assistant and at the front desk. She entered the dental field because she enjoys helping people, one smile at a time. Her favorite part of working at our practice is making people happy and helping our patients love their smiles.Taj is married and has two sons. She enjoys watching football and cheering on her children in their sporting events.
Leslie has been with our practice since April 1999. She graduated from Antioch High in 1985, and attended Med Help Training School. She enjoys being part of a cosmetic dental practice that helps patients receive a more beautiful smile. She likes working as a team at a state-of-the-art facility and is constantly learning new ways to provide quality dental care to her patients.Leslie and her husband, Jim, have a daughter, Courtney, a grandson, Easton, and a dog, Rocco. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and yoga.
Maria joined our office in 2016. She says, “I am grateful to be part of such a fun and amazing team. I am looking forward to learning all about the dentistry field and being an asset to the team.”Maria is married to her beloved partner in crime, Carlos. She loves to cook, bake, and garage sale.
Sue has been working with Dr. Miller for 30 years. She graduated from Med Help School in 1984 with her RDA degree. She loves being able to give patients a life-changing, beautiful smile. Seeing them happy makes her enjoy every day of her job. Sue enjoys working in an office where all of our patients are treated as family, and where the doctors and staff have the same values and provide excellent dental care to all of our patients. She continues to take courses to improve her dental knowledge and skills to provide quality care, experience, and patient education.Sue loves spending time with her two daughters and her son. She enjoys golfing, hiking, travelling, watching sports, and “any outdoor adventure.”
